In a rush but thought I'd pop this on here. We wanted pastrami for lunch but did not want to do the usual sandwich. So I just changed up the bread and voila....yummilicious!We do ours super plain as mini-me is picky. So am I in fact. When it comes to pastrami or smoked meat I just like the meat and some mustard. I don't want veggies or sauces messing up the taste of the meat. So this is the easiest lunch sandwich you will ever make short of buying one.I used ciabatti buns we found at the market yesterday. Then I pulled out my panini press. I had bought his a  year or two ago but had never used it. I always end up pulling out the foreman. So today I made sure I pulled this pan out and used it. It's just one you put on the stove top. Heavy iron so it really works well.
Hope you try this and love it. Could not be simpler!
Pastrami Pressed Sandwich:
Ingredients:
2 large Ciabatti buns
½ to 1 pound of Pastrami
Mustard
Directions:
Cut your buns in half.
Lay bottom half on press.
Stack your meat as thick as you like it.
Spread on your mustard.
Put top of bun on the sandwich.
Place panini press top on the top of the sandwiches.
Cook for about 3 minutes each side.
Remove, cut and serve.
Told ya it was easy. So tasty on the panini press. Nothing like some fresh buns to make a recipe with. So glad I went to the market yesterday.
So tonight hopefully all goes well and I will be posting old-fashioned fried chicken. Cross fingers things go according to plan.
Toodles and smoochies! xx
