Friday Fellow Blogger Love

Technically it’s Friday, although I have not been to bed yet so I could argue it’s still Thursday for me. It’s late, my mind is a blur. So we’re going with Friday, yah Friday.

So just to update you I did not cook today. I know, I know it’s shocking right. I think with the heat it’s forgivable. Who can cook in this heat, it’s wicked here. We have heat advisories right now. You sweat just thinking about going outside. I hope you all are also thinking about your pets in this heat. If you have dog, walk him in the early morning or late at night. Have lots of water down for dogs and cats. We went to see our horsey today and spent a good amount of time hosing her to cool her off. She hates water but once she realized how good it felt she just put her head down and I swear I heard her sigh. Poor girl.

So hopefully I can get this post written up quick, I need my beauty sleep you know. Hell at this humidity I need your beauty sleep too. Causing havoc with the ‘do. Never a good thing.

I thought I would take this opportunity of me not cooking to share some links to fellow bloggers I adore. It’s not often I have nothing to share food wise. So I must make the most of the quiet time. So here you go folks. A little peek into what I read and love. Enjoy!

6 Foodie blogs I read religiously (or as time allows) :

The Steamy Kitchen I love, love, love this site. Jaden rocks! She is a dynamo and she is incredibly nice. And the woman rocks some cowboy boots!

The Shiksa in the Kitchen Tori is the sweetest, most interesting Shiksa you will ever meet. She’ s the whole package. Smart, adorable, and such talent in the kitchen.

Cooking Healthy For Me Ann is a doll, she cooks like a superstar and is incredibly supportive of fellow bloggers.

More Than A Mount Full – A Culinary Journey Chef Dennis is an amazing man. I get starstruck when he pops by. He is always so kind and helpful, I am lucky to call him a friend.

Deelicious Sweets Dee is such an amazing woman and cook. She can rock it in the kitchen and make you laugh at the same time. I adore her.

Just One Cookbook You all must know Nami, she is just the loveliest person. I am honoured to call her a friend. She has the coolest blog, while visiting it I have to stop myself from licking the screen, I swear.

3 Non-Foodie blogs I read religiously (when I am not cooking) :

Combat Boots for Artemis This is DeLa. She has become a very good friend of mine. I met her through her hubby. She joined the army to help out the family. I admire her so much. She writes about life.

Faded Paper Project This is actually my son’s blog. Braydon is a creative writing student getting his master’s right now. He starts his second year soon and is working on his thesis. He is a bit out of the box, no fluff, real writing. Feel free to check it out.

Knit…Purl…Wait, What?…Damn! This is my lovely pal, Amy. She is a knitter in training. She is witty and smart, you will love her. I know I do.

Hey Kim! Thanks for the comment and encouragement on my re-design!

I am not cooking in this heat either–I had planned to do a new recipe last night for wraps but couldn't even cook my chicken because the neighborhood lost power as a result of everyone's AC on full blast! So we had Subway for dinner. :)
