Safe and somewhat sound

Hi folks. This is just a quick post to let you all know we finally made it home late last night. The blog was set up in advance while I was away so it wasn’t featuring the behind the scenes things that were happening in “real-time”. I got quite sick on the trip. So much so that my hubs had to fly in to Regina then drive the rest of the way home. After a stint in Regina emergency (all freaking day but totally worth it) they got me feeling okay enough to just get home. They wanted me to stay to run further tests but I just couldn’t justify staying that long when we were so close to home. Plus mini-me was already behind on classes. So we headed back with lots of meds and pain relief! Today will be spent sleeping and getting my ducks in a row.  Tomorrow I have to follow-up at our hospital.

So don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you all and nothing tragic has happened. We will talk soon and as always I love my readers. You guys rock. All the notes on facebook and all the emails have made my day. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I’ll keep you posted as things progress.

Toodles and smoochies! xx

Thanks so much Kita. I got your email too so I’ll pop you a line this week I promise. Rough trip to say the very least.

Oh man, this trip was like a roller coaster ride. My poor hubs had to rearrange work and fly in. He thought things were going okay the first night then by morning the bottom fell out so to speak. Thing I traumatized both him and mini-me. I’ve never had a melt down like that in my life. Funny what pain does to you.

Thanks Trish. I’m thinking back on how it all went down and wondering how I managed to get as far as I did before I broke down. So glad I finally called for help or this could have ended very differently. I just want to feel like myself again. xx

Thanks so much my dear. I must say this whole thing feels so surreal. It still feels like I’m walking around in some dream like state. Not sure at what point the wheels fell off the bus but they fell off hard. I’m a fricking mess.

Thanks. I’ve been pretty much sleeping since hubs got involved. Once the hospital hit me with morphine I was gone. I’ve been popping pills and sleeping like the dead for days now. So weird.

Lol Tanya, the hubby bit made me giggle. I am recovering nicely. Hopefully back to normal soon. I am getting seriously sick of laying in bed. Who knew a gal could get tired of that.
