The Lunatic gets grilled for Food Writer Friday, and she loved it!

Cravings of a Lunatic About Me PhotoHowdy folks.

I’m still off whooping it up Florida. Today we’re at Universal, fast-passing our way through the park if all goes well.

It’s been an interesting vacation. To say the very least.

Hubs caught the flu.

Then gave it to B-Dude.

We’re hoping  it doesn’t hit me next.

Considering how hard I am to travel with on a good day I’d hate to be the poor suckers travelling with me on a bad day. It’s sure to end in tears.

You know what else ended in tears recently?

My interview for the lovely site called Food Writer Friday. Seriously these ladies said such nice things about me I got all choked up. Which you know is sort of rare for Lunie. About the only time I cry is when someone eats all my pistachios without my knowledge. Or someone takes the last pepsi and I’m too lazy to go uptown and get one for myself. So imagine my surprise when I read such kind comments by these ladies and shed a tear over it. I mean who wouldn’t, they said such sweet things about little old moi.

Thank you to both Maureen of Orgasmic Chef and Helene of Masala Herb for their generosity of spirit. You ladies made my first interview a breeze. I cannot thank you enough for making it such a pleasant experience.

Make sure you stop by Food Writer Friday and see my interview that posted last week, Friday May 17th. I was in conference mode so it took me a few days to write about it. I’m also in exhausted mode but this interview perked me right back up.

You can also read my Burning Down The Kitchen interview with Maureen by clicking here. My next Burning Down The Kitchen Interview is with Helene and I look forward to sharing it with you soon.

We shall be returning home soon. I’m not going to lie, sleeping in my own bed with no one snoring nearby is going to be heavenly. Coming home flu-less would just be the icing the cake. Yes I am mixing metaphors and ruining grammar today, I’ll blame exhaustion. And Disney. And Universal.

See you soon!

Toodles and smoochies! xx

Awww my friend, you are such a softie and cutie, though Maureen and Helene are simply gorgeous people, so I can imagine why you would get teary :)
Keep having fun on the road my friend, though fingers crossed you do not get flu-y! Hope everyone gets better from it!
Also that is such an adorable photo, I am just saying 😀

Thanks so much Uru. I was thrilled to be interviewed. Love these ladies so much.

I did really well. Thank goodness.

And thank you. I had fun playing around with the camera one afternoon.

      Thanks John.

I managed to avoid the flu and had a fairly good trip back. Only one day of wonkiness which is good for me.

Yikes, I hope you don’t catch the flu, Kim! Being sick on vacation is the worst. My husband was super sick the last time we went to Hong Kong – he went to the doctor’s and the meds they gave him knocked him out for two days. He slept, I read a magazine in the hotel. Fun times. Enjoy the rest of the trip! I can’t wait to hear all about your experience at the blog conference. Gonna go check out your interview now.

I managed to avoid the flu. But hubs and B-Dude got sick. Horrible when you’re away. I experienced on that Calgary trip, that was a nightmare.

The conferences were amazing. I had so much fun and learned so much.

Fingers firmly crossed that the flu skirts well clear of you. That would ruin your sojourn somewhat. Maureen is a delightful, generous lady but I am not as familiar with Helene’s blog though I have seen her around.

There really is nothing worse. I spend part of last fall’s in the hospital so I was trying to avoid that again. I managed to side step thank goodness. Had an absolute blast.

Kim, wishing you a Flu Free Florida vacation. Terrific interview over at FWF, and oh how you captured that string of melty cheese in the spicy lasagna photo. Beautiful work my friend!
