This Bourbon Apples Cider is a must make recipe for apple cider lovers. Turn fresh apple cider into the perfect fall cocktail!
Welcome to Day 6 of Booze Week. Today is the last day for this round. Don't fret though, Boozy Desserts Week kicks off again in October. This one is the Halloween Edition of Boozy Desserts Week and will take place from October 20 to 24. You're welcome!
Today my special guest is the talented Erin Sellin of Dinners, Dishes and Desserts. Erin is a really good friend of mine, in and out of blogging.
She's amazing, always so open and generous with her time. She cooks up some of the most amazing treats you've ever seen.
I think the coolest part of blogging is meeting people with similar passions in life. I consider myself lucky to get to do what I love for a living.
Thanks so much to Erin for whipping up this fabulous cocktail for all of us today. I wish I was sipping on one right  now. It looks so inviting!
Welcome to Erin!
Hi everyone! Â My name is Erin, and I write over at Dinners, Dishes, and Desserts. Â I live in Colorado with my husband and 9 year old son.
We love being outside and enjoying the mountains. Â I share tons of recipes, from snacks and appetizers, to easy dinners and desserts. Â Plus some cocktails along the way.
Apples are all over the place now, and I love it! Â Fall is my favorite seasoning. Â I hate that it leads into winter, but while it is here I fully enjoy it!
We actually have a cider press from when my husband was a kid, so every year we make our own apple cider. Â What better way to use up some of that apple cider than in a cocktail. Â And spicy bourbon just seemed like the perfect pair. Â So, Bourbon Apple Cider was born!
This time I mixed in a little ginger ale for some sweetness and fizz.  If you want to go all out, you could even line the rim of your glasses with a cinnamon and sugar mixture.  Too bad I didn’t think of that until too late!
The bourbon gives the apple cider a little heat and spice. Â Bourbon apple cider is perfect for sipping on a cool fall day.
Ingredient Notes:
- Apple Cider - You can buy it or make your own.
- Ginger Ale - Use any brand you love. Obviously, us Canucks love Canada Dry.
- Triple Sec - This is an orange flavoured liqueur. It's typically made from dried peels of oranges. Use any brand you love.
- Bourbon - Erin used Bulleit Bourbon for this recipe. If you can't find it substitute any bourbon you love.
- Cinnamon Sticks - These are optional but add a bit of fun to any apple drink. Plus they are great for stirring drinks.
How to make Bourbon Apple Cider:
- Add all the ingredients to a pitcher and mix together.
- Pour over two glasses filled with ice.
- Add a cinnamon stick to each glass.
- Serve!

I am so happy you agreed to do this. I am one lucky duck to have such awesome blogging friends. I appreciate it so much. I really needed some downtime.
This was so much fun. I love doing booze week. I think it needs to be a regular thing. I've enjoyed the heck out of it.
Ashley @ Wishes & Dishes
I think you should do booze week more often! This apple cider drink looks fabulous!
Kim Beaulieu
I know right. I've been doing it once a month and it seems to be quite popular. People seem to like booze, lol!
Lisa @ Snappy Gourmet
What a great looking fall cocktail!
Kim Beaulieu
It really is. I am so happy Erin agreed to join Booze Week.
Cathy Pollak ~ Noble Pig
Oh my hells yes! Want it instead of my afternoon tea! Happy Friday.
Kim Beaulieu
I died laughing when you read your comment Cathy. I envision you drinking wine in the vineyards in the afternoon. And then I get wicked jealous. ha
Marjory @ Dinner-Mom
What a fun week and this one really hits home for me because I love apples! Cheers!

Looks like a good cocktail for the season. I don't know that I've ever had a drink w/ bourbon in it, only food recipes, so this one is interesting to me.
Kim Beaulieu
It's a sign you need to try this. My grandfather was a big bourbon drinker. I think I still have an old bottle of it somewhere. I'm forbidden from partaking from my doctors, wish I could sip one of these. Love apple recipes.
Angie | Big Bear's Wife
Sweet heavens it's Fall in a glass! This will be perfect for sipping on the back porch.
Kim Beaulieu
That was my thought when Erin sent this over too.
Lana@NeverEnoughThyme
Oh how delicious! Could there be a more perfect cocktail for Fall?!
Kim Beaulieu
It really is gorgeous, Erin really outdid herself. Thanks Lana. xx
Jordan
I have a thing for fizz, too, and I've been looking for a great cocktail for fall parties. Definitely adding this one to the rotation!
Kim Beaulieu
Fizz is just good fun. Thanks for commenting Jordan.

What? I missed the first five days of Booze Week? These look really good. I'm a huge cider fan, so I can't wait to try one.
Kim Beaulieu
Ha, you did. I did one last month too. It's the only way I'm allowed to have booze. I force my friends to make it and guest post. I think it might be why they love me so much. Ha!
Martha @ A Family Feast
Wow - this looks delicious! Perfect for a fall party!
Kim Beaulieu
I fell in love with Erin's photos. It makes me wish desperately that I could partake. I hate not being able to have alcohol. It's just annoying.
Kirsten/ComfortablyDomestic
Oooo! Apple cider *and* fizz? Genius! Sounds like a perfect sipper for fall.
Kim Beaulieu
Right! I heart Erin. She's a genius. Plus she's a cutie pie.
Nutmeg Nanny

Kim Beaulieu
