Looking for a fun twist on the classic Long Island? Get Electric. Cocktail that is. This cocktail is not for the faint of heart, with a strong mix of several liquors it goes down sweet and smooth.
Hey peeps! Welcome to Day 2 of Booze Week. Today's special guest is Kita of Pass the Sushi, and Girl Carnivore. I love this lady so very much. She's freaking hilarious, incredibly talented and one of my best bloggy buddies in the world. I adore her. So give a warm welcome to Kita.
Hey ya'll! While Kim is off gallivanting around the world, I am going to show you how to be a world class house sitter and raid the liquor cabinet! 😉 She called for cocktail hour, so really, it's not raiding, and more like a re-allocation of liquid funds while helping a blogging sister out. No harm in that right? Well, let me tell you, after one of these bad boys, you wont think there's much harm in it either.
This Electric Tea cocktail is a hard hitter. A spin on the Long-Island iced tea with some items I happened to have on hand and a mix up of ingredients, it came pretty darn smooth and heavy on the buzz. (Seriously, I made two cocktails out of this, but if you have lightweights at the party, make 4 out of it and use extra 7UP to top off the glasses.
So, Kim, wherever today's adventure leads, I raise this glass to you, because dear, this Electric Tea just made my night.

Thanks so much to Kita for guest posting today. This drink is amazing. So pretty and bright.
Kita is raising money through Go Fund Me for a trip to Cambodia for a Photography Workshop. You can learn more about it on Go Fund Me. Â She is looking to do a class through The Giving Lens. If you can help her out that would be awesome. It's a great project.
You can follow Kita on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Stalk her everywhere. I know I do.
Toodles and smoochies! xx

Now this is my kind of "tea"!
Meagan @ a zesty bite
I'm with Erin on this one. Love this boozy tea drink.

I'm joining Kita's party next time you go out of town! She better make me one of these because this is so much more drinkable than a LI Ice Tea!

I love Kita, and i love this drink. This is the kind of drink I would LOVE right now!!!!
Kita
I was traveling and forgot all about this delicious cocktail! I popped on over to your site tonight and BAM here it is. Call me surprised 😀 This is why I shouldn't mix alcohol and blogging!

I freaking cannot stop laughing Kita. Words to live by, do not drink and blog, it should be a tagline for a blog.
Thanks so much for doing this. I really appreciate it. I had no idea I would need time off after the conference but man, I wore myself out. The Bite Club girls know how to shop. We must have hit every store in Seattle.
Marly
Forget the long island tea - I could use a glass of this right now!

I just LOVE the color of this beauty. Cheers 🙂

Great-looking beverage. I haven't thought about raiding a liquor cabinet in years, but since Kita brought it up, likely not a good idea to have me house sit. Pinned this bad boy!

After the meltdown of my 4 year old, I'd take a pitcher right now!

Hi Kita! I am so glad you are visiting and I am making this phenominal drink STAT.
Sandra
This is the bomb diggity girl!!! I have a very large cake to decorate tonight and I probably shouldn't have one of these before I get started. But oh boy, just wait until I finish!

I cannot stop laughing. Baking should come with a warning label, "do not drink and bake". But it just makes it SO much more fun. Can't wait to see the cake when it's done.
*she says as if all recipes MUST be blogged* Bah ha ha. My family instituted a new rule around here, 2 days a week I cook without taking photos. I swear the first month I did it I convulsed every time.

My family always asks if my baked goods are safe to eat before they dig in. They learned their lesson! On the rare occasions when I bake and don't take a picture I feel guilty, almost like I'm cheating on my blog, LOL!!
