Over 25 recipes that are perfect for the new year. Healthy choices made easy, from all your favourite food bloggers.
I'm still in "holiday" mode. My son is still visiting, and his girlfriend arrived for a few days as well.
We're having a blast cooking up all our favourite meals. Things like lasagna, roast, and smashed potatoes. So many smashed potatoes!
Also, we've been eating tons of desserts. We've demolished tons of cheesecakes, brownies, and lots of popcorn.
I mean, it is the holidays so we're suppose to be whooping it up. That's what life is all about.
Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to 2016. Mostly because we're going on some family trips.
So, what does all this have to do with healthy recipes for the new year? Well, I need to get my butt into shape to keep up with the kids.
I've gotten so out of shape. Once upon a time I was a runner who worked out every single day. I know right. Hard to believe.
I still ate like an 8 year old kid back then. Honestly, I always have. I used to run for longer periods of time just so I could eat more.
The extra running time made sense to me. I could eat that extra brownies or New York Fries if I ran a few more miles.
Now that I'm older I may need to rethink that tactic.

Sigh. I used to have a rocking metabolism back in the days when I could live on fried mozzarella sticks and French onion soup for every meal. Then I had kids and muy metabolism downshifted into the toilet. Now I run solely so that I can eat more of what I want. Maybe I can get away with a few less miles because I want All the healthy food in this round up.
