These easy pizza buttons are quick to make and perfect for lunch, dinner or a snack! They also make great appetizers for parties.
Pizza buttons are little bites of heaven.
I love finding ways to make quick food because I have a super busy family. With kids in University and a hubby who never knows if he will have to stay late at work I have learned to roll with the punches.
Wicked easy recipes are a staple her. I need recipes I can make when life gets out of hand.
Which is almost daily around here. Especially when school starts back.
My daughter's schedule for school is wacky. Some days she only has a couple of classes, other days she's at the U for more than 12 hours.
So, this is something I can make super fast on days that throw us curve balls.
These are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, they make great after school snacks and are perfect for lunch boxes.
When I do them for lunch boxes I leave off any meat. On the slip side, when I do them for after school snacks or dinner I usually load them with meat.
Piling lots of vegetables on top is the perfect way to load them for lunch boxes in my opinion.

Easy Pizza Buttons
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 package pizza dough don't roll it out, your going to cut it into rounds, like you do with cookie dough
- ½ cup pizza sauce more or less to taste
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese more if desired
- 1 large green pepper you can swap them for red, yellow or orange, or do a variety, diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
- Place the pizza dough on a cutting board. Do not roll it out. Instead you want to cut it into pieces like you would with cookie dough that comes in a canister or tube. Cut them about ¼ inch thick pieces (approximately). Lay the rounds on the cookie sheet.
- Spread the sauce over top and smooth out evenly.
- Top each round with mozzarella cheese.
- Toss some peppers over top.
- Place in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your dough. Start keeping an eye on them at the 8 minute mark.
- Remove from oven. Place on a platter.
- Serve with a big old back to school smile!

These pizza buttons remind me of pizza bagels I ate all the time growing up. Nice to be able to make them homemade! Since really tiny bagels are hard to find lol

My kids loved those too. Now I want to try making mini bagels, lol.

How totally cute are these!! I am definitely booking marking this for my kids. Pizza is one dish served well hot, cold or at room temp so they totally work in the old lunch box. 🙂
