TapInfluence: What is it, Why I use it, and Why You Should Use it Too! Find out all about this amazing network and learn more about how it can help your blog!
This is a sponsored post. Thanks to TapInfluence, and my readers, for my supporting my blog.
Today I have an announcement! I’m launching a new blogging series. This series is catered to bloggers who are looking to grow their blogs. I want everyone to blossom and grow.
It’s also for anyone who has been on the fence about starting a food blog. I want to help you find the confidence to take that leap of faith. With all the confidence in the world.
This weekly advice column will help anyone, of any level, and any niche. While I’m a food blogger a lot of the advice I will offer can be applied to many types of blogs.
Why am I doing this? Well, the short answer is “because I want to help”. The long answer is I’ve been helping other bloggers for a long time. So why not broaden the scope of it.
I get a lot of emails from blogging friends asking for help with various things. Everything from working with brands, to planning blogger retreats, to how to maximize Pinterest.
While I try to answer every email it does get overwhelming at times. So I decided to start a little helping group last spring. I meet with other bloggers via hangouts once a month.
I knew going into it that I wanted to start a blogging advice column. That way I can help more people. That has always been something I’ve been interested in.
My second thought is I’m not spending as much time saying the same things over and over again. I can put my thoughts and opinions out there and people can read at their leisure.
You can expect the new series to be very direct and frank. I have a low B.S. filter so I’m going to write the blogging series the same way I write anything, honestly and openly.
When TapInfluence emailed me to talk about writing a post about my experiences with them I was thrilled to accept. Of course I’d be happy to share my story. I’m honoured to be asked.
Their request timed out perfectly and I knew it was the right time to announce my plans for a blogging advice series. It gave me the push I needed to jump in and make that announcement.
TapInfluence has been a huge part of my blogging success so I’m happy to share my thoughts about their company. I highly encourage other bloggers to sign up to use their services.

Why do I like working for them?
It’s easy, they pay bloggers what they are worth, they are super responsive when you need help, and they pay on time. All of things thing add up to me being incredibly happy with my experience working for them.
How do they work?
You sign up via their influencer platform, fill out your information and they help align you with brands looking to work with you. It’s fast, easy, and they respect the bloggers they work with.
How do they pay?
Quickly! Not even joking. You will be paid the following month after you post. On time. Usually early. I get paid via paypal. I’ve never had one problem with a payment from TapInfluence.
How do they determine what to pay bloggers?
Well, that’s an easy one. You connect your analytics and they pay according to that. If you feel your analytics do not matching your worth then you negotiate your price. You can set a minimum amount in your profile so they know not to send anything that is not on par with your normal rate.
What kind of brands do they work with?
That depends on your niche and the information you fill out. They match you up to brands that fit your profile. I have worked with Silk, GE Appliances, Smucker’s, Marie Callenders, KitchenAid, Pyrex, and many other brands.
What types of posts do they ask for?
Usually I work on sponsored blog posts. Occasionally I do social sharing. I’ve done some twitter based ones and Pinterest based ones.
How often do they offer sponsored work?
It all depends. It’s never the same each month. It will depend on a lot of factors, like your price, how well you align with brands, and how well you fill out your profile. Also how many campaigns they have available at any given time.
Would your recommend them to your best friend?
Yes. In fact I have. My best friends all work with TapInfluence too. I highly recommend them to friends, acquaintances and anyone who asks me for blogging advice.
What’s your favourite thing about TapInfluence?
Only one? There’s so many favourites. If I had to pick one it’s that they are a pleasure to work with. They respond in a timely fashion and will help you in any way possible. Very friendly, and super easy to work with.
What’s your favourite post you did for them?
That’s hard, but I’d have to say I’ve got two tied for first place.
I love the one for GE Appliances where I talk about my mom. I have all GE Appliance so working for them was a treat. It aligned perfectly with my blog which is always the goal when deciding whether to do sponsored work or not. I made Goulash, aka American Chop Suey and it’s one of my favourite posts, and recipes ever.
The other one is a recent post I did for Smucker’s, called Strawberry Filled Mini Puff Pastries. First off that recipe turned out beautifully and I’m so proud of the work I did on that one. Secondly I am a HUGE fan of Smucker’s so working with them on two current projects was amazing. It’s a brand I use all the time and my family really loves their products.
If you’re a blogger looking to diversify your income TapInfluence is a great company to work with. I say “with” on purpose because when you work with them it’s more like a partnership than anything else I’ve experienced. They treat you with respect, and are always making sure to keep your sponsored work on point for your blog.
Swing by, check them out. You can sign up to become one of their influencers. Tell them Kim sent you.
I believe blogging has helped me find my place in the world. It’s given me confidence, financial independence and an outlet to let my creativity shine. I hope to help others do the same thing.
Peace out! xx
