So simple to make, this dip combines cream cheese, marshmallow fluff and two kinds of chocolate mixed with peppermint for a holiday twist.
Hey peeps, I have another fabulous recipe contribution happening over at Food Fanatic this month. This one is my Double Chocolate Peppermint Dip. You can see the recipe, and read more of my ramblings over at Food Fanatic or here on my blog. The recipe is featured on my site, and theirs.
I am one of their monthly contributors. I’m their resident chocolate fanatic. Which works out perfectly since Chocolate runs in my veins. Not even kidding. I’m sure I’m part chocolate. I surely eat enough of it to qualify.
Happy Holidays to all my peeps. I love the holiday season. It’s my thing. I wish every day was Christmas. I really do. This is not motivated by materialism at all. It’s purely motivated by the fact that it’s the one day of the year where it’s completely acceptable to lounge around in jammies all the live long day.
I’m completely serious, I live for Christmas. Every year we open one gift on Christmas Eve. I always make sure I open some comfy jammies “Santa” left for me. I slip into those comfy jammies and sleep like a baby that night from sheer holiday exhaustion.
We get up with the hooligans. We open all our gifts. Inevitably “Santa” has left at least one more pair of jammies for me. We have a huge brunch, then I take a shower and slip into another pair of new, comfy, cozy jammies. We then proceed to eat all the candy in the entire universe.
The next thing I do is make do is make Christmas dinner. I slip into some old jammies so I don’t ruin my new ones, then spend hours in the kitchen while we watch movies “Santa” left us. He always makes sure we get the latest and greatest hits.
Once I finish making dinner I slip into yet another new pair of jammies, then we all sit down to dinner. I do not care who comes over, whether it’s my brother, the out-laws or the Queen of England, I will not get dressed on Christmas day unless I have to. There is only one person I slip out of my jammies for. And it’s not who you’re thinking.
Usually at some point during the day I slip out of my jammies and get dressed, however briefly, to visit the cemetery to see my Mom. I visit my dad while I’m there too. But it’s only my Mom who can get me to get out my jammies on Christmas day. Because she’s special and I like to dress up to visit her. Even though I know she would never care about me wearing jammies to see her. I do it because my Mom always liked to dress up. So it’s a little homage to her.
Once I return from the cemetery I slip right back into jammies. As one should. It is Christmas after all. The one day a year where you can get away with anything. For us it’s a day to completely relax, enjoy each other’s company and be as sloth-like as humanly possible. It’s good to have goals.

This dip is a riff on one I make all the time. I think everyone uses the one that combines marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. You know the one I’m talking about. It’s a popular recipe, and there’s a zillion variations of it on the net. However I’m quite certain the original idea likely came from Kraft or Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
This one is screaming “get in mah bellah”. It has all the things I love most in the world. Well, except Pepsi, but that would be gross. So as I hear it screaming “get in mah bellah” once more I think to myself “sure thing bellah, I’m happy to oblige”.
You really have to try this one. It’s scrumptious. It’s delectable. It’s delicious. It’s indulgent. But it’s totally easy to make. Plus it will keep you dipping for hours. You will have a happy bellah after this one. I hope you enjoy dunking and diving into this one.
