Easy to make candy party mix loaded with cherry candy.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 2 cups Nilla cookies broken
  • 2 cups Nesquik cereal
  • 2 cups Brownies broken up
  • 2 cups cherry licorice
  • 2 cups cherry sours
  • 2 cups cherry kisses unwrapped (obviously!)
  • 2 cups conversation hearts
  • 1/2 package of red candy melts
  • 1/2 package of colorburst candy melts white will do if you don't have colorburst
  • Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. In a monster sized bowl combine all your ingredients and mix them up really well.
  2. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Pour the candy on top of the cookie sheets and spread out evenly.
  4. Take your red candy melts, pop them in a glass, then pop them in your microwave for about 1.5 minutes. Check and stir every 30 seconds. I add a touch (1 tablespoon approximately) of vegetable oil to make it smoother and looser. Take a popsicle stick and drizzle over the candy on the cookie sheets.
  5. Repeat with the colorburst candy melts.
  6. Allow to set up for about an hour. I just left mine on top of my stove while the coating cooled.
  7. Transfer to a container, it should keep for about a week, but I doubt it will last that long if you have kids.
  8. Serve with a big old I hate Valentine's Day smile!
