Wild Blueberry Mojitos

These Wild Blueberry Mojitos are great for summer on the patio, a fancy little get-together (nothing says fancy like muddled mint, right?), or even just a treat for you and your partner!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup wild blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 10 fresh mint leaves and sprigs for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 10 cubes ice
  • 4 slices lime for garnish
  • Lemon-lime soda to top off the drink

Instructions

  • Muddle mint leaves, lime juice, simple syrup, rum, and blueberries in a glass (or cocktail shaker) to release the oil and flavour from the mint into the lime juice and get some of the juices from the blueberries and skin.
  • Divide between glasses and pour over ice. Add blueberries, mint, and lime to glasses, and top off with a splash of lemon-lime soda in each glass.
  • Recipe makes two tall drinks, but can be divided among 4 short glasses (although I recommend upping the booze for extra fun).
