Peppermint Ice Cream by Cravings of a Lumatic

Wonderful peppermint ice cream for the Christmas season. Plus it's a no egg recipe.

  • In your stand mixer combine whole milk and sugar. Mix until sugar dissolves.
  • Now add salt and mix for a second or two.
  • Now add your heavy cream and peppermint extract, mix well.
  • Cover this bowl and stick in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Remove and uncover. Transfer liquid to FROZEN ice cream maker bowl.
  • Crush your candy canes and pop those into the ice cream maker bowl as well. (tip- if you don’t want them too mixed in add them by hand later)
  • Turn on your ice cream maker and let it run for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • You can either serve immediately or cover it and stick it in the freezer until ready to serve.
  • If serving later make sure you take it out about 10 or so minutes before you want to eat it.
  • You can garnish it with more crushed peppermint candy canes.
  • Serve with a big Christmasy smile!
