Pour the cherry juice, preserves, and vanilla extract in your blender.
Blend so it mixes well, about 30 seconds.
Add the ice cream and sorbet, pulse several times which will start breaking the ice cream up.
Turn the blender motor off and use a flexible spatula to mash the mixture down onto the blender blades.
Place lid back on and continue pulsing, stop if need be to mash the mixture up.
Pulse again. You will know it's done when it is thick, and moves easily in the blender jar. Should take about 30 to 90 seconds .
Pour into a chilled glass or glasses.
Serve with a big old black forest smile!
