A wonderful, easy way to grill up some pineapple for a snack.
Servings: 1 Full Pineapple
  • 1 pineapple peeled and sliced into 4 long pieces
  • 1 satsuma orange juiced (any orange will do)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  1. Preheat your grill.
  2. Peel and core your pineapple.
  3. Cut it into big pieces. I cut mine in 4 pieces.
  4. In a bowl whisk together your orange juice, vanilla brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Brush half the glaze on both sides of your pineapple.Set aside remaining glaze.
  6. Turn one side of the grill off. Turn the other side on low.
  7. Brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking.
  8. Place pineapple on grill.
  9. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side. Brush glaze on after flipping.
  10. Remove and cut up.
  11. Serve with a big old sweet, cinnamon-y smile.
Recipe Notes

Another way to prevent sticking is to spray non stick spray on the grill BEFORE starting it. I usually turn it off right before I put stuff on it, spray it again and then reignite it. Otherwise the spray burns off while it preheats. Just remember NEVER to use non stick spray while it’s on. Very dangerous!

Also I like to turn one side off when doing something like this. That way if one piece cooks faster than the others, or you get any flares up from the juice you can always move the fruit over to the side that is off. Just a little tip for you.
