So sorry you can’t spend Father’s Day with your wonderful husband. I’m sure he will be delighted with these sliders once he returns home from work. I know I would be. Super tasty little burgers.

Thanks so much Renee. I think we’re sort of getting used to this way of life, but it still sucks on holidays.

There’s just something about tiny burgers. I cannot resist them.

That was lovely…and I promise no hurling was induced from the reading of this post! :) I have had Ree’s whiskey sliders pinned FOREVER, and just haven’t gotten around to making them. Thanks for giving me the kick in the pants I needed to do it!

Lol, thanks so much Courtney. You must make them. They are so good. You will love them. What’s cool too is you can play around with the ingredients to suit your own tastes. Thanks for reading.

Great recipe. And beautiful post. And I only hurled once! ;-) Really, very nice. It sucks that hubby has to be out of town today. I used to have to travel a bunch, and at one time or another missed almost every major holiday and celebration (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas) – it really, really sucks. But you’ll always have Tuesday!

      June 17, 2013

Thanks so much John. Ha, I love that. Hurling is just funny.

It’s so weird cuz up to the past year we’d never spent a night apart. Now it’s half a week there, and half a week here, it’s so weird. But you do what you have to do right. Looking forward to Tuesday.

Awe, I’m not sure whether to say sorry or thank you so I’ll go with both.

You will love these. I’ve done them so many times now, in so many ways. They never fail to impress.

Thank you so much Kayle. 20+ years and we still annoy and love each other. Not too shabby. I think I’ve known him for 2/3 of my life. Best friends through all of it. Even when we want to kill each other. lol

That’s one of the sweetest things I’ve read in a very long time. I didn’t even hurl a little. And what great sliders! Like burgers that you can eat lots of without shame. Okay, minimal shame. Well done!

Thanks so much Stacy. I had so much fun with this post. It was a riot to cook for and write. Nothing like wearing your heart on your sleeve for the world to see. So very unlike me yet it did it twice today. Lol!

He is your soul mate. I bet he is blushing while reading what you wrote during a meeting. He might even be chuckling a little bit out loud or even shedding a little tear. Now back to those sliders, you have to make these again for the hubs as these look amazing.

KIM! Woman, what are you doing to me today?! I just read your father’s post and now this one…I’m dying here. First I laughed and then, boy did I cry. Not only reading what you’ve had to go through in your life (damn, you are a tough lady) but to hear about how incredibly supportive and loving your husband is, that really touched my heart. There are a lot of bad men out there but boy, when we find the good ones, we really need to hold on. And you’re right – focusing on all the negativity makes us lose sight of what’s important in our lives. I loved this post…and your sliders look wickedly good.

Kim, what an incredible husband you have and I’ll bet you are pretty incredible, too. Life has so many ups and down and it is always good to have someone there to share them with. But right now I’d rather be sharin’ these whiskey sliders! And if I were nice I might give one to my other half-better yet I’d have him give one to me!

Did you know that singer Seal dated supermodel Heidi Klum when she was pregnant with another man’s baby, was in the delivery room and then married her? True story. And you’re both blonde, too! Are you really Heidi? :)

    • Kim Beaulieu
      June 17, 2013

Damn it woman you’ve discovered my secret. Cripes I wish I was Heidi, minus the accent, although it is sort of adorbs on occasion. I had no idea about that. That’s pretty much our story. Best friends who dated each others friends, then dated each other for a couple of years, stupidly broke up, I got in a violent relationship and found out I was pregnant, walked away and hubs helped me put my life back together. We dated during the last half of my pregnancy, hubs was in the delivery room and never looked back. People thought he was nuts to take on someone else’s kid but he never once felt like B wasn’t his. Sort of amazing when you look back at it. I shake my head at myself sometimes. So easy to get caught up in the negative of life then one day you realize it’s all B.S. Our life is messy but man I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I got lucky.
