Hi folks.
I have a special treat for you today. I am guest posting over at Cookistry today. For those of you who don't know Donna she is an amazing blogger. She makes the most beautiful bread I've ever seen. She also whips up fabulous meals, amazing desserts and everything in between. Her site is a feast for the eyes and the belly. I am always impressed with everything Donna does.Â
What impresses me even more is what an absolute delight Donna is to know. She is just a sweet person who is always there to help others out. She likes to share her wealth of knowledge with other bloggers in groups she belongs to. She takes time to help, to explain and to welcome others into her world. I admire her for her dedication to the food blogging community.
I also admire her for her courage in life. Donna's husband is in the hospital and has a rough road to recovery ahead of him. Donna takes it all in stride with such grace. There's few people in life like her. If there is anything you can do to help them I'd love for you to donate. I cannot imagine what would happen to my world if my hubby got sick and could not work. I love that the food blogging community rallies in times like this. For everyone who read my previous post about donating to them and did, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you haven't please consider it. Something small to you might be something huge to someone else.
I wanted to make Donna some bread but then I realized it would be like bringing pasta to Mario Batali's house. Donna is the queen of bread so I decided to go another way. I think my speciality is quick and easy these days. So it occurred to me maybe Donna could use a quick and easy dish. I found this great Cherry Danish Dessert on the Kraft Philadelphia site. I just had to try it. I hope Donna gets a chance to make it as well. This one is so good I've actually made a couple of versions now. You know me and tweaking. I'm always looking for ways to make things more delicious and over the top. It's pretty much why none of my pants fit at this point. So worth it though.
So pop over to Donna's site, Cookistry for the recipe. You are going to love this. It tastes amazing hot. I mean out of this world. I keep sneaking into the kitchen for more. At this rate I won't be able to fit in my stretchy pants soon either.
Make sure you tune in this weekend for some more great recipes. I've been a busy lunatic.

That looks wonderful! It would make such a nice breakfast for a crowd. I am always amazed at all the wonderful food bloggers out there. One of the best parts of blogging is meeting all the other bloggers.

I can see why you keep sneaking into the kitchen to get a piece. I would too. I have no self-control so have to keep such things out of the house or make sure I have heaps of people to eat it.

I do know Donna at Cookistry-amazing bread maker, blogger, and care-giver. So wonderful for you to post about her and to bring attention to her family being affected by unexpected medical bills. Your dish looks delectable, and would bring cheer to many! Can't wait to try it myself! 🙂

Great photos and you are so right about Donna. She is a lovely lady. I must have missed your post about donating but I did read hers so I made my donation. I can't imagine either what it would be like to be in her situation. Heading over to see the recipe because this looks divine!
