    Hi folks. This is just a quickie post as I need to hit the hay. Been a long day and have another long one planned for tomorrow. Luckily nothing horrible or stressful. Just lots of soccer and we had the apple festival today, tomorrow is a flea market. Add in barn and soccer games and normal life plus a puppy and it's all the ingredients for one busy lunatic. The good news is I have a fun post for next weeks Farm Fresh Friday.

    So this one has been awhile coming. I was not going to post it as the pics are lacking that special something. Also on day two when I wanted to take the pics my fridge did this whole freeze my fruit nonsense. I need to have it looked at as it's a new and pretty fancy fridge. Not pleased at all. Anyhow I decided to post it anyway as I know my foodie friends will still appreciate this and most people will be stunned that I:

    ate a salad

    ate fruit without sugar on top or placed in ice cream

    that it wasn't made into butter

    So if nothing else this proves I do occasionally eat something healthy and good for me. I know I have been posting a ton of dessert and ice cream recipes but we actually eat other things. Shocking I know.

    So here it is in all it's frozen, craptastic photo glory. Enjoy!

    Melon Salad:

    Ingredients:

    1 cup cut up and cubed seedless watermelon
    1 cup cut up and cubed sugarbaby watermelon
    1 cup cut up and cubed cantaloupe
    1 cup cut up and cubed canary melon
    ¼ cup lemon juice
    1 to 2 tablespoons honey
    Mint if desired

    Directions:

    Cut up all your melons into small cubes. Place in a bowl.

    Take your lemon juice and honey and whisk it together.

    Pour your lemon and honey mixture over melons.

    Stir until well coated.

    Serve.

    Yah okay so it was covered in honey. Whatever!

    Toodles and smoochies! xx

      @Dzoli- It sure is yummy. Cantaloupe is my fave. Makes me want to eat healthy. Too bad that feeling never lasts long.

      @Pretend Chef- So good. Needed a summer fix.

      @Great Beauty Buys- Thanks so much. Love my VB girls.

      @Nan- Thanks. It is a bit of work. But I got a new handy dandy tool to help now. Lol!

      @Ann- Thanks. And lol!

      @Rebecka- So nice to have you stop by. I am so sorry about the listeria, we had that happen here a couple years ago. It's awful. I would go cuckoo without cantaloupe. It's my fave.

      @Thomasina- Thanks. Lol, me too most days.

      @Raquel- Me too. I just get a whiff of cantaloupe and I am energized all day. It's just so refreshing.

      @Stephanie- Thanks. I like the easy ones some days.

      @Mrs Diner- I totally agree.

      @Tina- Thanks. I am the same way. I love me some steak but if there's fruit salad on the table I must have it.

      @momdecuisine- Thanks. I love honey as does mini-me so we use it alot. It's also good for other things. She uses it on horses for abrasions. Weird but true.

      @Shirley- It surely is. *sorry-the crazy comes free here* lol

      @The Mom Chef- Dudette will love it. Melons rock.

      @Kelly- Thanks, me too. I love summer and am going to miss all my fruit. Prices go sky high soon. *sigh*

      @Carolyn- Thanks so much.

      @Erin- Thank you. It sure is a yummy treat.

      @Christine- So good.

      @Tori- I think I saw your honey post and subconsciously added it. Was on my mind. My daughter is a huge fan of it. Even puts it on cukes. SO weird. Lol!

      @Nami- I prefer melon with sugar but wanted to step outside my norm for a day. Lol!

      @Nava- Thanks. I love fruit in anything. I think I could be a fruitarian. Not that you can tell my blog. Lol!

      @Jennifer- Thanks. I am always run off my feet. But I always say I'd rather be busy than bored. Although lately a little boredom would be nice. Lol.
