Weekly Meal Plan Week 4 - 8 Top bloggers brining you 6 dinner recipes and 2 desserts to make your week easy!
Hey peeps, welcome to Weekly Meal Plan - Week 4! Hope everyone had an amazing week. I can't believe it's August already. Where has summer gone? It feels like it flew right by.
I have some amazing news. Well, you may not find it amazing but I sure do. My daughter had her final graduation for her military training. She is home now after months of being away.
I'm so proud of her. Training was tough but she stuck it out and excelled at it. I missed her like crazy while she was gone, but I know she was doing what she loves so all the sacrifices are worth it.
This should mean she's home for the rest of the summer but she's considering fitting in one more quick session. So while I want to whoop it up and scream "she's home" from the rooftops, I'll wait until I know if she's going back, or not.
She keeps us guessing, life with mini-me is a wild adventure. I wouldn't have it any other way. She inspires me every single day.
We're waiting until we know what she is up to then we can book a flight for my son to come visit for a week. He lives in Alberta, and has one more year of school before he gets PhD.
Both the hooligans will be back in university in September. My son will go back out west but my daughter is still at home during the school year. Hopefully we can all spend a week together before school takes over again.
I hope all of you are enjoying your summers and finding some time to whoop it up with loved ones. Nothing is more important in life than family. I would be lost without mine!
Hope you enjoy this week's meal plan. We are on week 4 already, so time really is flying by. We really hope everyone continues to enjoy and appreciate them.

There's just something about Fridays right.

Congratulations to your daughter, Kim! I know how happy you are to have her home. The Skillet Basil Cream Chicken looks pretty amazing- I can't wait to try it- maybe over some rice to soak up all that fabulous sauce?
Kim Beaulieu
Was a long few months. I missed her something awful. Was such a roller coaster ride but in the end I'm so proud of her.
I'm with you, let's put some rice on.

Hope you get to have all your loved ones together before the summer is over! Thanks for a wonderful meal plan - those Asian Steak Bites are calling my name.
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks so much Lana. We had such a great time this summer. Short but so sweet.
I love Steak Bites. Can't get enough of them.
Martha @ A Family Feast
Great meal ideas Kim! (I'm hungry now...) 😉
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Martha. Me too But I'm always hungry. ha
Ashley @ Wishes & Dishes
How great that you have your daughter home now! That's such good news. Love the meal plan!
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Ashley. I really enjoyed the tail end of summer. Had a blast with the kids. My son came down for a week too. So it was amazing.
Meal plans always help me. I keep them on my fridge. My goal is to stopping shuffling things around though. As you know stuff comes up in blogging and I'm endlessly shifting my plan around.
Susan
It's such great news about mini-me. I know it's been a hard summer with her away and the training but she's amazing for doing it and you're an incredible and supportive mom. You both are so lucky to have each other . Enjoy the next few weeks together and eat some of these delicious meals!
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Susan. I was so happy when she came home. Then doubly happy when B-Dude came home. We had such a great end of summer.
I'm so proud of her. She really kicked butt. Especially with all the injuries. The kid amazes me.
Thanks for the sweet comment by the way. I got so much negativity on Facebook about saying I missed her, it's nice when people are so understanding and supportive.
I love meal plans. They make my life easier.
Hey, are you going to Blogher Food? I'll be there. The NY trip is still on too, just not sure exactly when we're coming. But it should be fall/winter. I can't wait to hang out.

I hope you get that extra time with her that you are hoping for! I know it is definitely something to look forward too! I could not survive without my meal plan! Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks Nancy. We had so much fun and it was just heavenly. My son flew in for a week too. It was so amazing. I miss the days when they were home all the time. Growing is hard, necessary, but hard to let go. I'm learning. Slowly.
Love meal plans. I just find it hard to stick to them. Do you find that too? Being a blogger makes it hard because sponsored work comes up and everything gets shuffled about. I use sticky notes on mine and I'm constantly moving things around. It's utterly hilarious.
Melissa from Hungry Food Love
I so need to learn from you and think ahead of all these meal planning. You have great reason to cook delish food now that your daughter is home. Congrats!
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Melissa. I used meal plans a ton while my kids were younger. It made it easier to plan out meals around all the sports and barn time. I used my slow cooker almost daily. Then my kids hit university age and I stopped. I was finding we were eating out more. So now we're back to planning. Although I must admit I shift mine around a lot because of the blog.
I am SO happy she is home again. Rough few months while she was training. So thrilled she made it through and handled it so well. My son flew in for a week too. Best week ever.
