    Welcome to the new site!

Published: Feb 21, 2012 · Modified: Feb 15, 2017 by Kim Beaulieu · This post may contain affiliate links

    Hi Lunatic readers!!!

How the heck are you all???

I missed you all so much!!!

    Did you miss me too???

So welcome one and all to my new fancy shmancy wordpress site. I am so happy to be here, up and running again. There are a few more tweaks and changes coming so please be patient while we finish up some fine tuning.

There are lots of new things to read. Go peek around the tabs and have a see. The recipe index is going to take about 2 weeks to a month to backtrack through and input all the links again. They all need to be updated with the links to the new site. So imagine a year's worth of recipes that need to be linked and labelled one by one. Yup, it'll be a project. But a worthwhile one. I really like the one on the old blog so I shall devote the time to do it again. Just for you, cuz I love you all so  much.

There  is a policies page now as well as an advertising page. That is necessary as you will see later this week. More announcements to come. I like to keep you on your toes folks. No lollygagging around the asylum. Gotta keep things jumping.

You will also see a print recipe feature now. Again this has to be backtracked individually and will take a week or so to finish up. Such a cool thing to have though and I think you all will really love this feature.

There's still some buttons and bling that need to be added. So expect some more things to pop up here and there. For the most part it is finished. Just a couple more things that must wait till the right time. Cryptic I know. I am really excited to share more with you in the coming days.

For now if you see any glaring errors please feel free to let me know. If the site goes wonky please be patient and don't run off scared. It may need tweaking as we see how things run and what works well and what does not.

I would like to take a minute to thank a very special lady who helped me make the move and has been indispensable throughout this process. Her name is Kita and she blogs at Pass The Sushi. She also has a design site called Silhouette Graphic. I encourage you to check out both her blog and her design site. If you are thinking about making the move from blogger to wordpress she's your gal. If you are thinking of a site redesign she's your gal. If you want to work with someone reliable and professional she is your gal. I could not have done this by myself. Kita is an angel, she really saved me from losing my mind. Moving sites is very stressful, she made it easy. There were moments of panic but she held my hand like the small child that I am when I get stressed out. So thank you Kita, it's been a pleasure to work with you, and get to know you better. I look forward to more projects with you as time goes on. You rock my world!

I'd also like to take this time to thank you all for reading. I am grateful for all of you who come back day in and day out. You make me feel normal and that is no small feat trust me. I have so many loyal readers and I appreciate each of you. You take time out of your day to stop by and read, comment and make me feel like I have something worthwhile to add to the foodie community. It means the world to me. You mean the world to me.

Now comes the fun part, with the move comes the need to have you subscribe all over again. Please proceed in an orderly fashion to the rss feed button to the right or the email subscription bar on your right. Don't panic, there's room for everyone. No shoving there in the back. I see you trying to cut in line. I suppose it's  not such bad timing with google friend connect going bye bye. I sure hope you all continue to follow the adventures of this crazy old lunatic and her love of food. I know I sure enjoy sharing my recipes and daily stories with you.

    Toodles and smoochies. xx

Either I live under a rock or Kita is extremely modest. I had no idea she did site design. Your new site looks all pink and girly...love it.

Thanks Kristen. It will be a bit more cutesy after the conference. I did a quick redo for now till we learn more about that stuff. Kita is amazing. She made the transition easy. I think Kita is very modest. Dennis suggested her and I am so glad he did. I don't think I could have done the move myself.

Thank you so much. She did an amazing job. I am not a tech gal so she held my hand through all the panic attacks and stupid questions I had. Bigger makeover to come after the conference. I need a logo. Lol!

Thanks so much Jill. I have been in love with this theme since I first saw it on TomKat studio. So had to get it and tweak my own version. It's just funky enough for me. Lol!

Thanks so much Ping. I am so happy Dennis suggested her. She is so good at what she does. I really intended to go all soft pastels but I just loved the bright so much. I think it suits the blog more. Not sure if I'll tone it done in the next redesign phase or keep it a bit wild. Poke away. I still need to get the recipe index updated and hopefully by the end of this week or next the entire recipe index will be revamped as well. I should have done this eons ago.

Hi Marsha. I actually think Fine Lime Designs did Chef Dennis's site. But he was the one who mentioned Kita designed to me, and I jumped all over it. I knew she would be awesome considering how gorgeous her site is. I am so excited to have a little more zing here. It's feeling like home now. Thanks so much for the support. xx

I have to redo the whole index as well. It'll all be worth it in the end. Luckily I have oodles of free time right. *falls down laughing*

Thanks so much. I am really pleased with how it looks. At some point I'd like to cutesy it up more. Some graphics and a logo. But this is perfect for my budget right now. Kita really saved me on this one. She is a total goddess.
