This Fig Newton Cocktail is refreshingly delightful and oh so easy to prepare. I can't think of a better way to beat the heat!

Fig Newton Cocktail is the epitome of upscale cocktails without a lot of fuss. The flavour is incredible and it's such a gorgeous drink to serve to guests!
Today is a very special day. I have the distinct pleasure of kicking off Booze Week. It's a week of guest posts by some of my bloggy buddies, all booze centric.
My first guest is no stranger to Cravings of a Lunatic. My dear friend Veronica of My Catholic Kitchen is going to entertain and delight you today.
Veronica has guest posted for me before. You can see her Boozy Caramel Apple Bread and Butter Pudding on my blog, she did that one for Boozy Desserts Week.
She also made Cedar Planked Salmon for me for Seafood Week. Not many friends would be willing to guest post for you so often but Veronica is a rare sweetheart of a friend.
Now that I've gushed on like a crazy person, please welcome Veronica back to Cravings. I'm delighted she is here.

Welcome to Veronica from My Catholic Kitchen
Hey Yall, Veronica here from My Catholic Kitchen. If you love figs they you are going to love this Fig Newton Cocktail recipe.
A few months back I was given some dried figs. Not sure what to do with them at the time, I decided to macerate them in some booze. So, I bought a bottle of cheap vodka, sliced the figs and added them to the vodka.
I then allowed them to hang out and get to know each other for a few months. They chilled out in the back of the liquor cabinet.
To be honest I didn’t know what to do with them, until Kim mentioned she was looking for a few people to guest post for her. When I heard Kim was devoting a whole week to booze, I was all in. What self-respecting Irish woman wouldn’t.
I immediately stepped up and said I would be more than glad to do it. It is a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
Look, if you don’t have homemade fig vodka hanging out in your liquor cabinet, no worries. The Liquor store does have a fig vodka that they sell. Just use that, it is all good.

YUM! This sounds delicious. I love figs. And I love infusing my own alcohols with fruits, but never tried figs before. Thanks for the great idea!
