Give a girl a camera and this is what happens, Part 3!

Hi folks. I thought I'd take a couple of minutes to pop up some more pics I took with my brother's camera while he was visiting us. I was really hoping the dude would leave it for me since he's coming back in a couple of weeks but no such luck. He's evil I say, pure evil. He said I could buy it off him, for the rock bottom price of $800 so I offered him $5 but he declined for some reason. I think by the end of the night he had come down to $799.50 and I had gone up to $22. So we're still a ways apart on our negotiations. I thought $22 was fair, I mean I am special so I should get the "special price". Right!

We had a blast while he was here. We went out for lunch on thursday. Me, Scott (bro or old dude as I like to call him), hubs, mini-me, and Dallas (old dude's son) went for chinese food. My son and old dude's daughter had to work. We had a new chinese food place open up in town this year and it is the bomb. The only downside is no soo guy which I LOVE. So I usually get sizzling beef skewers instead. So good. The guys all said the wonton and egg rolls were amazing. I don't eat either so I wouldn't know. Kiana had white rice, I know right, so adventurous. We thought they had american cuisine as well but were mistaken so she was not feeling it. When all else fails she loves white rice.Thursday night we ordered pizza, fries, onion rings, and garlic bread from the pizza joint Kiana works at. Was very good. Pigged out on unhealthy food and had a ball doing it.

We decided to play Yahtzee since we were all around. Old dude's daughter was done work so she had come for dinner. My son, B-dude was done work so he was around as well. We had so much fun. I mean hysterical laughter all around. Uncontrollable laughing fits. Lots of mockery and poking fun at everyone. There were tears from laughing so hard. At one point we may have done a cheer leading routine, or maybe that was just me. I think we had more fun than I'd had in a long time. Was so nice to just chill and enjoy ourselves. Been a rough year so letting go and having a blast was much-needed and deserved. All of this without one drop of alcohol as well. I'm telling ya, a night with the lunatic does not need alcohol. I can entertain you without it, and you will remember how funny I was in the morning so that is a huge bonus.

So on thursday night while we waited for the pizza I scoffed Scott's camera again and ran outside to take pics again. No food but thought I'd show you anyway. I had him put on his telephoto lens and went into the yard. This is what I took. All unedited so you can see how good the camera is. These were also shot at almost 8 pm so that is amazing in itself.

Photos missing due to a G+ incident. Restoring soon.

I love this camera to bits. I must have one. Gonna start saving my pennies. Scott is thinking about getting a Nikon as well so maybe I'll get to test drive that one. Or hopefully. After we managed to get a hair in the camera and had to figure out how to get it off the mirror inside he may never let me use one again. But I swear it was not my fault. Old dude switched the lenses, not me. I swear!

So coming this weekend you will quite likely be bombarded with recipes. I am in the mood to bake. I promised mini-me brownies. I also have something happening with currants, something happening with pistachios, some eggplant recipe I need to dream up, something with strawberries and also peaches. As well as a craving for coconut. I have ground pork I need to use up. I have a burger recipe from the Shiksa I am trying. I am obviously going to gain 10 pounds but my readers should be super happy. So look for lots of recipes over the next few days. When I get on a baking tangent it's like a bakery in here. I tend to lose all self-control for a couple of days.

Anyhow I must run. I think we're heading out to see the horse who's been neglected all week. Poor thing. See you all later. Going to do some baking tonight once it cools down a bit.

    Toodles and smoochies! xx

@ Dee- Spark sure is a scene stealer. He is gorgeous. If he wasn't pure evil he'd be the perfect cat.

I really need to know what this camera is? I really have to buy one for my LaDy LaDuke business, and it's got to be something that makes me look like a total professional;)
      Thanks!

Mother Rimmy- Thanks, I swear I have more pics of the cats than the kids. It's sad.lol

Ann- Thank you. I had a blast taking them. Love my flowers.

foodinnewengland- Another Kim, woot woot. I know right? Is he crazy? You think when I went up to a whooping $22 he would have dropped to his feet and thanked me and handed me the camera on silver platter.

Mommy LaDy Club- My brother's is the Rebel. It rocks. I love the thing so much. His is the older one so think it's the T1, I can look it up if you'd like. I think any Rebel is safe. I also heard from my brother that the Nikons are amazing. He's talking Nikon on his next one. And his friend is a photographer and uses Nikon as well.Does that help?
