Hi folks. Well I am still feeling horrible. I would love to know how someone who`s never had allergies all of a sudden is an allergic mess. Still no appointment with the specialist. Gotta love the Ontario health care system. Working hard for their money, oh wait, no they`re not. I cannot believe how long it takes to get in to see a doctor when something is wrong. When I was sick with colon issues it took 6 months to see the specialist and another 3 to get an appointment for tests. Honestly I was so glad it wasn`t serious. I would be a goner before I even knew what got me. Anyhow I digress, the bottom line is I feel awful and they said to forgo meds until I get in. But tomorrow I am taking meds as I am fed up and need some relief. I cannot take another day laying around not being able to breath and sneezing like a lunatic. So tired too, I swear I have mono but seriously I`m 42 why on earth would I have mono. I just feel blah which is not like me. I`m normally bouncing off the walls with energy. Maybe someone is playing a trick on me and my pepsi is really placebo and this is all lack of caffeine. It could happen. Maybe Paula Dean read what I wrote that one day in my story and is getting even. It could happen.Anyhow I`m sure my regular visitors have noticed a huge drop off in recipes the last little bit. I apologize. I feel bad. Yet not quite bad enough to cook anything elaborate. Tonight we actually ate processed food. I know this is shocking and I can just see everyone`s chins on the floor over this one. When you feel this awful it`s hard to find the energy to do the daily grind. So my hubby browned up some ground beef for me, not sure if I`ve ever told you guys how much I despise cooking ground beef and breaking it all up. So whenever I can I get someone else to do it. They generally do not mind considering they know I do all the cooking around here. It`s just something I hate doing. I don`t think it`s the cooking of it but the breaking it all down as it cooks. Anyhow I just did Manwich, yup, you heard that right. The Lunatic made Manwich for dinner. Kick me out of the foodie community immediately. I have shamed us all. It was good though. I didn`t take pics so sorry to disappoint you. I know foodgawker and tastespotting must be so p.o.`d they didn`t get those photos. They surely would make the cut I am sure!!!I am not a complete slacker though. I did make some bread in the bread maker. I also did a batch of pizza dough as I knew Kiana likes having pizza dough on hand. Good thing I did as she hates Manwich and most meat in general so she actually made her own pizza. Sadly she made it after we had ours and I was bummed as her meal looked better than our meal. But I was already full so I had to pass. She made a killer pizza though. The plus side of her working in the local pizza joint is she is picking up some mad pizza skills. So here you go, I am not a total lazy butt, this is a recipe for some nice herbed bread. Enjoy!

    Herb and Shallot Bread:

    Ingredients:

    1-â…“ cups water (lukewarm)
    2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon roasted garlic and shallot drizzling sauce (you could use ½ tablespoon olive oil and ½ tablespoon dried shallots if you don`t have any flavoured oil)
    2 tablespoons shortening
    2 tablespoons sugar
    4 cups flour
    1 tablespoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon dried marjoram
    1 teaspoon dried thyme
    1-½ teaspoon bread machine yeast

    Directions:

Place all of the ingredients in order in your baking pan.

Place inside bread maker in the baking chamber.

Turn on the basic bread setting. I used dark crust on this one.

Let the machine do it`s job. Depending on your machine it could take 2-4 hours. Mine took 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Remove carefully and let cool on rack.

    Serve.

Yeppers that is some pretty and tasty bread. I do more white than wheat as I cannot eat wheat. Hope you try this one out. If you don`t have a bread maker this can be adapted to make by hand. Or run out and buy a bread maker. I love mine so much I have 2. I know, I know, this seems odd. I did not set out to have 2. My old one was white and I wanted a stainless one to match my appliances. So I got a stainless one but Kiana likes the bread from the old one. So I kept it and am glad I did. Some days they are both whirring up a storm. Today I had the bread in the new one, and the pizza dough in the old one. I just tuck the white one back where no one can see it. Vanity, gotta love it.

This is what I am dealing with while cooking. Our middle cat has taught the kitten bad things. They are not allowed on the table, and they are not allowed to get in the fruit bowl. So yah, guess where Castiel is...

    As always toodlessmoochies. xx

Photos missing due to a G+ incident. They will be replace soon.

I love Catch and Release too! I just bought the first season of Justified, because I missed most of it. The second season got me so hooked, but I just like that man, so it doesn't really matter what he's in!;) Cheers and love your site too!
