Super easy and quick to make. This fool recipe is simple to put together, yet complex in taste. You are going to love this one. It will become a family favourite!
Okay, so you know I'm totally addicted to mini desserts at this point. It's gotten really out of control. I wish I could care, but look at these things. They are so adorable that I doubt anyone could resist their charms.
I have an office I do all my blog work in. It's basically a small spare bedroom that is now my blog room. I have an oak roll top desk in there, a nice comfy chair, bookcases, a curio cabinet and an old dresser that doubles as storage for props. I also have an armoire tucked in the closet for all my blog dishes and large props. I think there's about 10,897 mason jars in there, and about 12, 934 mini shot glasses. The sad thing is I still want more. Clearly I have a problem.
My friend Katie asked me to guest post for her while she went on maternity leave. I am both thrilled and honoured she asked. I adore Katie, she's a total sweetheart and wicked talented. She has a food blog called Katie's Cucina that is just beautiful. She also has a DIY blog called Sew Woodsy that she collaborates on with her husband, Jon. Both blogs are absolutely incredible and great resources in their respective niche.
You can find the recipe for this Raspberry Fool on Katie's site. Just click over to get the recipe and read my guest post. Katie has printable recipes like I do here so its super easy for you to print off and make the recipe.
That tile in the background of the photo just above is the tile on the floor of my blog room. It's a grey tile my daughter picked out. My blog room used to be her bedroom. She gave it to me when she realized my hobby had turned into a career. That room has a big patio door that leads out to the back deck. So the light is amazing in the room and it's easy to step out and take photos outside as well. There is an awning that we can adjust for more or less light. It's a pretty great spot for a photo studio. Small, but very practical.
Now the tile above is the actual tile in the rest of our house. It's sort of green and natural earthy tone tile. It covers our entire main floor, except for the blog room. It is also the tile in our shower. I tiled it myself. Pretty cool little fun fact for you. We had a whooping 4 tiles left after we finished the most recent reno. Then hubs broke one so I'm down to 3. Wish me luck since this is my favourite, and wildly overused, backdrop for all my food photos.
Make sure you stop by Katie's Cucina to get the recipe for this Raspberry Fool. You are going to want to take a big old bite of this one.

They are adorable. And raspberries in anything definitely equals deliciousness! So pretty. Great photos!

Thanks so much Melanie. l love tiny desserts.
John@Kitchen Riffs
Ah, now we know the story of your photo backdrops! It really works so well -- good choice. On my way to do some foolish reading . . . 😉
Kim Beaulieu
I'm a cheapskate, any way to save money right. I love me some fool.
Coco
LOVE the name and I'm drooling just looking at the pics, KimBee!
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks lady. I love fool, it's so easy which is a huge perk for me.
Maureen | Orgasmic Chef
I want a blog room! How lucky you are to have a room with good light and a place to store all the 'stuff' we need for good photos.
That fool is beautiful. I'm off to read more about it.
Kim Beaulieu
It's pretty sweet having one, but really, really hard to keep clean. I'm a dropper, so I keep a broom and mop handy at all times. I have to thank mini-me for this one. I had a teeny tiny room with no light so she offered to give up her room with the door and the deck for my work. Can you imagine? Quite the kid that one.
Thanks lady. I love a good fool. It's easy and yummy.
Stacy
I would LOVE a room like that! It sounds absolutely ideal. As does that raspberry fool!
Kim Beaulieu
It's pretty cool, small but useful. I can't take pics in the kitchen, it's just too dark in there. I'd love to do step by step photos but there's just no point.
I love fool, and raspberries.
Dionne Baldwin
I don't blame you for wanting more! Those cute little jars and food treasures are very addicting. And you need more just in case some of them break. 🙂 This Raspberry Fool looks like it might actually satisfy my sweet tooth!
Kim Beaulieu
I actually had one broken in the photos and didn't know until after we ate the fool. If you look really close one glass has a crack in it. Ha.
Becca from ItsYummi!
I love the swirlies of raspberry in your fool. I also love your spoon collection. You can keep your mason jars, but I'd gladly stash those cute shot glasses for you here at my house. Wouldn't want you to run out of space 😉
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Becca. I'm a spoon fanatic. And little jars fanatic. And mason jar fanatic.
Terra
Okay, that is a creative recipe idea! It is quick, sounds fun to make, and holy cats looks delicious! Love that your daughter passed off her room to you, that rocks!!! Yum, Hugs, Terra
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Terra. I love easy recipes. Gives me ore time for other things. Ha.
She really surprised me with that. She went into a room not even half the size. Not your average kid this one. Nice to know my kids want me to succeed. It's heart-warming. xx

There's a chance I just licked my screen while trying to get that drip of raspberry that's about to fall off the screen in the last photo. 🙂 I love hearing about the different places you take your photos and what the backdrops are. But really, I love the fool. Hokey smokes, it looks amazing.
Tara
Looks fabulous, such a vibrant colour!!!

I love all the tiles and all the awesome spoons you own, Kim! And girl, fo' real, these photos are out of control in their gorgessity. These raspberry fools are beautiful! That bright vivid red from the raspberries drizzling slowly down the white creamy stuff...as you can tell, I haven't gone over to look at the recipe yet...is making my eyes bug out of my head. Heading over to Katie's now!
Kim Beaulieu
Thanks Nancy. I'm always worried I'm using the same props and backdrops too much.
I had so much fun with this photo shoot. Some recipes just lend themselves so well to it. This is one of them.
Katie
First off, Thank you for guest blogging for me! I'm in love with this recipe and can't wait to make it! Secondly, I love that you have a "blog room". I have a craft room now that is itty bitty and bursting at the seams. In our next home, My craft room will also be a photo studio / food prop place. So the room will need to be much much larger. It's a pre requisite for our next home. On top of a beautiful and large spacious kitchen with tons and tons of natural light! lol. A girl can dream... ha!
Ramona W
Oh, how I wish I had a bigger house with an extra bedroom for my blogging. My kitchen and half my dining room has been taken over with my props and plates, glasses etc... for photo taking. Like you... I still want more!! How many cake stands can I have... I have over 20 now... Ahhhhh! But they are so darn cute and I love the mini shot glasses too. 🙂
I love a mini dessert and call me a big fool... I would be dancing in the streets for these raspberry fools. 🙂
Terri Truscello Miller
This is SO pretty! You did a great job on these for Katie!

Hi Kim, first time here...you know what, I was wondering whether it would be good to make no bake desserts in wine glasses (the small ones) and accidentally saw this picture on pinterest....thankyou so much for sharing this....perfect way to have a bit of sweet when you are trying to loose some pounds....love your pics and the raspberry swirl is so amazing!! So glad that I landed here....now off to get the recipe.
Marty
