Weekly Meal Plan Week 15 - 10 great bloggers bringing you a full week of recipes including dinner, sides dishes, and desserts!
Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to our Weekly Meal Plan, Week 15. I hope you all had an amazing week. One filled with family, friends, and tons of awesome food.
I had a crazy week. There is always so much going on in my little corner of the world. Every day is an absolute adventure.
My daughter took on a third job. Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She already works at that grocery store, and the military, plus goes to University. She's a busy girl. Now she's working part time making trusses.
Yes, I said trusses. Mini-me is a powerhouse, never afraid to work hard or do things the dudes do. She's digging the job and really having a fun time learning more about building. Of course she's the only girl in the place.
I'm always a worried mama when I hear these things. She's typically the only girl on a lot of military stuff too. If not one of the very few. Most of her best friends are guys too. She's just more comfortable around guys than girls.
I think it's because she's not a girlie girl and she abhors gossip. Again, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I tend to be the same way. So whenever she goes to play paintball with the dudes I try not freak out. Much.
She's a force to be reckoned with, this young hooligan. She inspires me every day to work harder, and push myself more. She's my best friend and the one I talk to when life gets crazy. She's always so supportive.
So today I'm whisking her off to London, Ontario for a girls day. We rarely get to shop or spend a whole day together, so I'm looking forward to this. We'll hit up a few stores in the mall. Along with every candy store.
Then we'll run over to the store she really wants to hit up. It's called Reliks. Wondering what it is? It's a sword store for collectors. Yes, my little badass daughter loves swords. Because, why not. Like I said, force to be reckoned with.
Don't mess with the chick with the swords. That's what I tell every young man who walks through my doors. Not only does she know how to use them, but Mom does too. Takes always be prepared to a whole other level.

I am always amazed at the things Mini-Me accomplishes. She has her mama's drive and tenacity. The weekly menu sounds delicious....I wish I could push a button on my computer and have all that food instantly appear on my table. xox

Awe, thanks Kristen. She's a pretty amazing kid. We bumped into some family we hadn't seen in awhile and they asked how she was and what's she's up to. She's like "oh, just joined the military and switched majors in university". Their jaws dropped to the floor. Ha. It's so fun to watch people react to her news. I still get floored when I see her in uniform. It's so emotional.
We need to invent a button that does that. Immediately.

OK, if this is the menu at your house this week, just give me directions and tell me what time to be there! What a great round up of tasty and family-filling recipes!
