Weekly Meal Plan Week 9 - 10 top bloggers bringing you 6 dinner recipes, 2 side dishes and 2 desserts to make a quick, easy, and delicious week!

Weekly Meal Plan Week 9 collage image

Hi peeps, welcome to Weekly Meal Plan Week 9. I'm here with another weekly meal plan for you. Huge kudos to Erin of Dinners, Dishes, and Desserts for organizing this every week. Not only does she do an impeccable job but the girl is the most organized, prompt person I've ever met. And yes, I've actually met her in person. Love her. So huge "hats off" to Erin for taking this lovely project on.

I've been sick all week so I've barely been cooking, let alone eating. I made Banana Split Waffles one day but was only able to take two bites of them. Best two bites of my life though. Totally worth it. I froze some waffle batter so I can whip some up again once I bounce back.

I'm not sure if I had the flu or if I've just been overdoing my IBS medication over the summer. I hit the wall after a couple of exhausting weeks hanging out with the hooligans. Did a couple of road trips with my daughter which are always fun but hard on my body.

Last Monday I got out of bed late, then literally fell asleep on the couch for the entire day. I went to bed and got up with my daughter for her first day of classes. Mini-me is in university but I still like to make a big deal on the first day of school. No dice this year. I got up and she shoved me back to bed. I slept all day. I think I logged about 36 hours of sleep. It was crazy.

I've been weak and run down all week. Barely able to go downstairs to do laundry, or clean, or cook. All things I do a lot of because of the blog. This week was pretty much a write off. I could barely function. So I tried to take it easy and let my body do its thing. Sometimes you just need to take some time off and let you body recuperate. I'm slowly getting a wee bit better.

I can't wait to get back into my routine next week, and back in the kitchen. I'll likely be grilling up a storm for my other blog, Kiss My Smoke, over the next month or two. The weather is just starting to cool down. It's perfect weather for grilling so I intend to be outside every day before winter takes over. Fall is actually my favourite time to grill.

Hope everyone is doing awesome and enjoying the weather. I see so many people posting photos of their kids going back to school and I'm loving every minute of it. Makes me wish my kids were little again. But having older kids comes with perks. Mine can drive to the store any time I need ingredients. Which as a food blogger is quite often.
