I am so happy to be here with a new edition of Give a Girl a Grill. I love to grill. I mean love, love, love it. I will not let hubs anywhere near my grill. Ya, you heard me. MY GRILL! It is mine. All mine! He can go water the flowers or something. The grill belongs to me.
Most days I can be found grilling in the summer time. It saves our house from getting swelteringly (what? it's a word!) hot. Our a/c blows, but not in a good way. When we bought my folks place after my dad passed away we remembered him cheaping out on the a/c unit he put in. We put one in at the same time in our old house. When you walked into our place it was like stepping into Alaska. When you walked into dad's place it was like stepping into a volcano. All to save a mere $300. I swear when we have some extra moolah lying around I'd love to upgrade it. But seriously, who has thousands of dollars just lying around. Hey Oprah, can you loan me some moolah? I'm hot girl. Do a friend a solid.
Okay so this is a quick treat you can whip up for the kiddies. Or the adulties. Whoever you want to whip up an 8 minute snack for. Okay, that's a lie. It took 2 minutes to cut and glaze it. So it's more like a 10 minute snack. Okay, so maybe 12 tops! So have at it folks. You will want to hug me, and kiss me and squeeze me all over. But I won't let you. Cuz Lunie don't hug remember! Now get your mitts off me and go grill dangit!

See, easy peasy and pineapple squeezy! Anyone can do this. It's a great light snack for the kids while you're chilling by the pool. It's also good for other things because you can use this in other dishes. Which I did. Which I will share with you later this week. Which I am now laughing hysterically about as you sit there wondering what I did with it. Which is where I will leave you hanging.
Toodles and smoochies! xx

How fun! I never would've thought to grill a pineapple!
Kim Bee
It's so good grilled. Even just plain with no glaze or anything. Tastes amazing.
Maureen @ Orgasmic Chef
I love grilling and roasting pineapples. They grow here and are abundant at the farmers markets. I'm always looking for new ways to use them.
Kim Bee
You are so lucky. I worry where mine come from. But usually they are good. I adore it and can barely stop myself from noshing it all while I chop.
mjskit
I love grilled pineapple but have never thought of seasoning them in any way. What a great idea! Love the spices and then the brown sugar would make them eat like candy! YUM!
Kim Bee
It just heightens the sweetness. Not that it needs it but omg it's so good this way.
Roxana GreenGirl { A little bit of everything}
Last year was the first time I grilled pineapple and since then can't get enough! Now I'm craving some!
Kim Bee
It's so yummy. I love fruit grilled. Takes it to the next level.
Ann
YUM! I've had grilled pineapple before, but never spiced up like that!
Kim Bee
It's so good with the spices on it. I have big plans for the leftovers.

Good stuff. I've grilled pineapple, but it's been ages. And cinnamon is a brilliant flavoring. Sounds really good. Sorry about your A/C - I like Alaska in our house too! We've got one room that runs hot that we use a lot (the rest of the house is fine), so we have a window unit there for extra cooling. Works great! Anyway, fun post - thanks.
Kim Bee
Thanks. It's so good. I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers Alaska when it comes to a/c. We need a new one but not in the budget right now. We're actually knocking out a wall to allow for more air flow to the room that gets the hottest. Lol. We are removing the wall between our kitchen and living room. Should be interesting. I love a good demo.
Anna@Crunchy Creamy Sweett
That's one spiced up pineapple! Yum!
Kim Bee
I know right. So good. I ate the whole thing. Lol!
Lori Lynn
"our a/c blows" oh how you crack me up!
Love grilled pineapple, used to make it on camping trips, with grilled fish.
Your spiced version sounds terrific!

Kim Bee
Thanks. I could not help myself. Some times corny things just pop in my head.
It's so good. And killer good on fish. I also like it on chicken. I wanted to spice it up as I had plans to not only eat some but use it in an upcoming recipe. Wish me luck it turns out as good in real life as it does in my head.
Kristen
I love the grill because it keeps the house cool, but I hate standing over it when it's hot and muggy outside. I have become such a whiner about cooking lately. Maybe I should just go buy a pineapple, grill it and eat it all. It certainly looks super D duper!
Kim Bee
It's funny you say that Kristen. I am the same way. Does it make you tummy symptoms worse standing over the heat? Cuz for me it does. I have to come in and out of the house or I overheat and have tummy attacks. The other night at dinner I had to leave the table twice cuz I over-did it outside and was doubled over in pain. Something about heat makes people with colon issues flare up. Luckily the pineapple takes 8 minutes so I was safe. Lol.

"... and not in a good way." LOL! I like when you start sounding like me ... or the other way around.
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've never had grilled pineapple. The idea of hamburger and chicken cooties permeating fruit dessert never appealed to me. But your photos look so delicious I might just try it once.
Kim Bee
I love being a dork. Glad I'm not the only one.
You gotta try it. Here's a tip. Use one side of your grill for meat and one side for veggies and fruit. I'm telling you it works like a charm cuz I'm a germ-o-phobe in a big way. I also scrub my grill before I use it each day. It's like a sickness. Then I heat it up like crazy and clean it again before things go on it. Honestly you'll thank me if you try it. It's so flipping good.

Equal opportunity on the grill...about time! Include me in your outdoor grill'n hen session anytime...this grilled pineapple is perfectly refreshing!
Kim Bee
You bet your tush it is. I would be honoured to have you. Pull up a chair any time.
Coco
What a great idea, especially for summer nights after a good bbq!
Kim Bee
That's what I was thinking. Such a great way to end a day. Or start a day.
Ramona
I recently grilled pineapple for the first time and I loved it. I love your addition of spices. 🙂
Kim Bee
It is so good right. It just makes the taste pop. Thanks Ramona. I love you. You're good for my ego. Lol!
DB-The Foodie Stuntman
A trick I learned flipping through channels one day from Chef Spike Mendelsohn: To clean your grill, don't use a wire brush. Cut a red onion in half and scrub the grill with it, cut side down. All the remnants of past grilling activities will be cleaned off and you're seasoning the grate at the same time.
Kim Bee
Good tip. The downside is wouldn't everything taste like onion? I'd hate to have fruit taste that way. Good for steak night though. I gotta try this.
Cucina49
Kim, this looks fabulous--I am semi-afraid of the grill, which is stupid. I need to get out there and make some of this!
Kim Bee
I used to be. I hated turning it on. Ours was unsafe. With the new one I am okay. Or I make hubs turn it on if he's home and then I grill. Lol.
Jenn and Seth (@HomeSkilletCook)
i LOVE grilled pineapple! yours looks AMAZING 🙂
Kim Bee
Thanks so much. It was so good.
Valerie @ From Valerie's Kitchen
I have never done this but it's about time! Looks really good Kim!
Kim Bee
You must try Valerie. It's so good. I need to come by and visit you. I've been so overloaded with trying to undo my google plus damage. I'll try to stop over when mini-me leaves for vacation on Monday. Miss ya.
Balvinder
I am totally opposite of you. I don't even go near our small camping grill. But I like to eat everything grilled. i haven't done grilling pineapple from quite a while, now is the right time to do. Thanks for reminding.
Kim Bee
Lol, well those camping grill scare everybody. Holy germies I say. You just gotta take the grill plunge. Once you do you'll wonder why you waited so long. Pineapple is killer good on it. You must try it.
MissMessy
Sounds super. The seasoning looks amazing. Can't wait to try this.
Kim Bee
It is super good. Let me know how you like it.
