Weekly Meal Plan Week 21 – 10 great bloggers bringing you a full week of recipes including dinner, sides dishes, and desserts!
Welcome to Week 21 of our Weekly Meal Plan. A bunch of us blogger friends got together and decided we would like to start sharing our meal plans with our readers. Meal planning is a big thing. It helps you plan ahead and be organized. It also helps you save money and reduce waste. That’s a huge perk. More money in your own pocket is always a good thing.
This week has been crazy at our house. My daughter is gearing up for exams next week. My son is prepping his exam for his class, then he’ll be heading down here for the holiday season. Hubs is working over-time before he’s off for the holidays. I’ve been working super long hours prepping Christmas Week which kicks off on Monday. I’m also trying to plan the whole month of recipes so I can take some time off while my son is here.
So it’s been pretty hectic. We’re all putting in extra hours doing our thing. One thing about my family is we all have a good work ethic. You have to in order to get everything done in life. We work hard so when we have time off we can play hard. And by play hard I mean we watch a lot of Netflix, and chill out on the couch while binge watching all our favourite shows. I’m looking forward to some serious binge watching when my son flies in.
On top of all the crazy work we got a new horse. I know right. Like one wasn’t enough. It sounds excessive but it’s my daughter’s horse. She’s an adult so she’s been saving her pennies since finding out our horse’s daughter was up for sale. I know a lot of people have been asking a lot of questions about the story behind buying her. So I promise once I catch my breath I’ll write a post about Ginger (our horse, new horsey’s mom) and Gigi (new horse, our horsey’s daughter) to explain the whole long story.
I promise I’ll share photos in that post too. I have photos from the time we bred Ginger to the day Gigi was born. I also have photos of various visits to see Gigi over the years at her owner’s place. Now I have tons of photos of her moving in to our barn and her settling in. We even got photos of Gigi and Ginger meeting again after 9 long years. The day they were reunited was pretty special. 9 long years in the making, so it was an emotional day for all of us.
Since she arrived we’ve been spending a ton of time at the barn. Anywhere from 2 to 8 hours a day at this point. Settling a new horse in is a bit time consuming, so I feel a little burned out this week. But I have to admit it’s also wildly entertaining to watch her adapt and check out all the new things to see at the barn. She’s quite mesmerized by the giant mirror in the arena. We have to go convince her to walk away from it or she would just stand there all day long staring at herself.
I’ve been cooking up a storm too. Lots of holiday posts coming up for you. I’ve been working on some really cool projects with some great companies. I’ve also got 12 Days of Giveaways coming up. As well as a GIANT Amazon Gift Card Giveaway coming up for Christmas Week. Make sure you tune in on Monday for Christmas Week. It’s going to be a total blast. We have almost 40 bloggers participating so recipe inspiration will be massive next week!
In the meantime sit back, relax and start planning your meal plan for next week. We’ve got tons of delicious recipes for you!
