Weekly Meal Plan Week 23 - 10 great bloggers bringing you a full week of recipes including dinner, sides dishes, drinks and desserts!

Welcome to our Weekly Meal Plan Week 23. Another week has passed and it's been a crazy one. With the holidays coming up I've been so busy getting everything ready at home and on the blog that I'm behind on my weekly meal plan.

I find it helps me out tremendously when I plan out recipes every week. There's less waste and leftovers, and we eat out far less when I plan ahead.

It's funny though, whenever I get busy I tend to meal plan less. It really shouldn't be like that but when life gets crazy we tend to order out far too often. That can get expensive and quite honestly it can be pretty rough on the tummy. Since I have IBS I need to keep an eye on how many times a week we grab takeout. It will hurt the belly if we do it too often.

My son flew in on Wednesday. It has been SO nice having him home again. I wish he lived closer to home. We're in Ontario and he's in Alberta. If you know geography then you know that's a big distance. Luckily we found out this fall that he will be moving to Toronto in the spring. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty excited that he'll be so much closer to home.

Yesterday we went Christmas shopping and then saw the movie Creed. It was great to get out of the house and spend time with one another. We're all so busy lately, working crazy hours, that we are not connecting enough. So it was great to get out of the house and spend some much needed time together. There was lots of giggling and ridiculous behaviour. I loved every minute of it.

Today I'm actually working most of the day. My daughter has to work in the morning, then she has a military function in the evening. So, I figured it would be the perfect time to get my act together and get my 12 Days of Giveaways edited and posted. I have a bunch of cool giveaways for you. I just need some time to edit them so I can pop them up for you.

This week definitely calls for some soup before the days of holiday celebration eating begin.
