There is something about peanut butter combined with chocolate that makes perfect sense. Toss some Reese's Pieces into the mix and its sheer perfection!

I seriously love bark. I am completely obsessed with bark. Honestly, I cannot get enough bark. I suppose everyone has their weaknesses. Mine is definitely chocolate.

This recipe was a contribution to Food Fanatic. I used to be their Chocolate Fanatic back in the day.

Chocolate is something I nosh on daily. I bake with chocolate about 3 or 4 days a week. If I'm being honest, I stare at chocolate online about every 3.56 minutes. So much chocolate, so little time.

I know some folks believe you should not indulge consistently but I'm not one of those folks. Seriously, I believe as long as you don't go overboard daily you're doing well.

Now there are certain times of the year all bets are off. Those special holidays you should be able to eat as much chocolate as possible. Halloween is one of those holidays.

For a few short days Halloween candy takes over all our worlds. I say give into it. Don't fight it. Enjoy those few days fully and eat as much chocolate as possible. Especially this chocolate.

Whoop it up a little for Halloween. In fact, whoop it up a lot. It is a holiday after all. One meant for large consumptions of chocolate. I plan on honouring that tradition. With copious amounts of this stuff.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine divided
    • 1 ½ cups milk chocolate chips
    • 1 ½ cups peanut butter baking chips
    • ½ cup reese's pieces candies

    Instructions

    • Begin by lining a cookie sheet or baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
    • Grab two small microwave-safe glass bowls and add 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine to each bowl.
    • Pour the milk chocolate chips into one bowl. Then, pour the peanut butter chips into the other bowl.
    • Place each bowl, one at a time, into the microwave. Heat each bowl (separately) for 1 minute, then remove and stir. Place back in microwave if needed for approximately 30 to 60 seconds more. Be sure to pause the microwave every 15 seconds to check the mixture and stir until it’s smooth.
    • Next, grab two large spoons. Place one in each bowl. Then, start to drizzle each flavor on the parchment randomly, it doesn't need to be neat as it's being swirled anyway. Once you have all the milk chocolate and peanut butter mixture on the pan you can use a knife or offset spatula, to swirl the mixtures together. Run the utensil through the chocolate and peanut butter to make any pattern you prefer.
    • Randomly scatter the Reese's pieces over the bark.
    • Place the cookie sheet or baking pan in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
    • Remove the bark from the refrigerator and break it into pieces by hand, or use knife to cut it if you prefer.
    • Serve. Or store it for later.

I agree, there's a no-chocolate-limit on any holiday!. 🙂 My kind of thinking.
